Are you looking for ways to enjoy the last of the summer sun? Read on to discover the top 6 things to do in London before summer ends.
Perhaps you live in London and are in need of some inspiration for last minute summer activities. Or maybe you’re wanting to visit and need some helpful guidance.
Whatever the reason, these top 6 things to do in London will definitely make some wonderful memories to round up your summer. So, let’s get into it…
1.Walk to the top of Primrose hill and watch the sunset with a picnic
Primrose hill is the perfect place to take a picnic and watch the sunset with panoramic views of the London skyline. Regarded as one of the most beautiful viewpoints in North London, if you haven’t yet checked this off your bucket list, it is an absolute must. A beautiful place to relax where you feel removed from the busyness of the city, yet is super accessible via the tube.
2. Pedalo in Hyde Park
Head to Hyde Park where you can rent a pedalo and meander around the Serpentine Lake in the sunshine. The Serpentine is London’s oldest and most famous boating lake. It’s not too pricey either with £12 per adult for one hour or take your whole family (2 adults and 2 children) for £29.
3. Boris Bike along South Bank
See the sights of London from two wheels, costing only £2 to hire for 24 hours. Personally, I recommend cycling along South bank to get great views of the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Westminster and many more famous landmarks. However, you’ve got the whole city to explore so pick somewhere you’ve never been and stop along the way.
4. Open air float in Cinema
The UK’s first open air float in cinema has arrived in London, hosting an excellent selection of classic movies for everyone to enjoy. The ticket price includes boat hire with up to 8 people and a self-drive boat ride around Little Venice before the movie starts. This experience is definitely one to brag about to friends and family. How many people can say they have done this?!
5. Go to a Festival!
After the event’s scene taking a huge hit with Covid, buy a ticket and attend one of London’s music festivals they have to offer. Wireless, We are FSTVL and Strawberries and Cream are all yet to come and guaranteed to provide you with a well-deserved and long waited boogie! Or if music isn’t your thing, London boosts a variety of food festivals happening all throughout September. Check out Fulham Feel Good Vegan Festival or Hackney night market.
6. Alfresco dining
Save the best till last! Not that we are biased or anything, but our terrace at Riccardo’s Restaurant and bar is the perfect spot in the heart of Chelsea to watch the world go by. Sip on a cold glass of whatever takes your fancy and munch on authentic Italian food, while soaking up the last of the summer sun. Doesn’t that sound dreamy? Every Thursday is Happy Hour 5:30-7:30 where we have cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer and selection of our finest food at incredible prices. If your thinking this sounds too good to be true, it’s not! Head to 126 Fulham Road, South Kensington, SW3 6HU for the ultimate alfresco experience.
